Give Your Child the Gift of Play-Based Learning
Choosing the right preschool is an important decision. At SCPNS, we offer a nurturing, play-based environment where children develop essential skills through exploration, creativity, and social interaction. As a parent participation preschool, we also provide a unique opportunity for families to be actively involved in their child's early education. Enrollment is open for children ages 2-5, with flexible programs to fit your family's needs. Join us and become part of a supportive, engaged community that values learning through play!
Enrollment Process
1️⃣ Attend an Open House or Group Tour
We encourage all prospective families to visit our school and experience SCPNS in action! During Open House you'll learn about our programs, meet our teachers, and see our play-based philosophy firsthand. Group Tours are provided by a current SCPNS family and allow you to explore our little yellow school house and amazing outside grounds while getting your questions answered.
📌 Schedule a tour today! Click Here to view upcoming dates for Open Houses and Group Tours
2️⃣ Submit an Application
Once you’ve decided SCPNS is the right fit for your family, complete our Enrollment Application and submit it along with a $400 non-refundable application fee.
3️⃣ Enrollment Confirmation & Paperwork
Once your application is received, we will confirm your child’s placement and provide the necessary enrollment paperwork, including:
✔️ Health and emergency forms
✔️ Parent participation agreement (for co-op families)
✔️ Tuition and payment details
📌 The health forms typically require a physical exam by a physician, though some physicians might complete the forms without one, as long as there is one on file within the last calendar year. Making an appointment with a physician can take several weeks, as can submitting the paperwork for completion. SCPNS recommends giving yourself at least a month to complete all health forms, so please plan accordingly.
📌 All required forms must be submitted by August 1st or two weeks prior to your child’s start date if joining mid-year. Click here to view all the required enrollment forms.
4️⃣ Parent Orientation & Participation
As a parent participation preschool, families in our co-op programs attend orientation sessions to learn more about their role in the classroom and how to get involved. Parent participation helps create a strong community and enhances the learning experience for all children!
